What is a Transmission Service?
Transmissions produce a lot of heat and have metal-to-metal contact—just like engines. Similar to motor oil, transmission fluid will degrade over time due to constant heat exposure and friction. Metal shavings from the moving parts also collect in it, lowering its lubricating and protective properties. When this happens, you may notice:

- Chattering, whining, grinding, or other strange noises
- Slipping gears
- Surges, stalling, or hesitation
- Delayed movement after you’ve put your vehicle in gear
- Inability to drive in reverse
- Overheating
- Low fluid levels or fluid leaks
